On a recent Sunday we made a trip to Mertasari Beach in Sanur. It`s become a favorite spot for many people, especially in the late afternoon, when it gets a bit cooler.
After checking out the beachfront and the waiting facilities for the boats coming and going to Nusa Penida, Lembongan and the Gili Islands, we felt hungry and looked for a nice, quick lunch.
There are many “warungs” to choose from and we had a great meal of pork sate with lontong (steamed rice cakes). We were lucky to also find fresh seaweed at one of the stalls and it was a welcome addition to the satays. All well priced, with a total of Rp 118.000 for 4 portions of sate (for the two of us!), seaweed, a small Bintang, a Sprite, mineral water and a few kerupuk and crackers. And very tasty too! It was our second time to visit the same warung.
Highly recommended for a relaxing meal along the beach...
