After extensive renovations over the past 5 years, the Hyatt Regency Bali finally re-opened its doors in December 2018. With a fantastic 500m stretch of sandy beach in Sanur and set in 9 hectares of lush and beautifully landscaped gardens and tranquil lagoons, I was really looking forward to visiting this icon of Bali`s hospitality once again a few weeks ago.
The first thing you notice when entering this beachfront resort in Sanur, is the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere it exudes. There aren`t a lot of hotels these days where you almost can get lost in the vastness of the gardens. It`s just incredible!
The resort offers 363 rooms and suites, all of which are furnished in a modern design with Balinese accents and feature private bathrooms with separate WC and balconies or terraces overlooking the gardens. Each room is equipped with individually controlled air-conditioning, satellite TV with movie channel, minibar, hairdryer, in-room safe, IDD telephone, and coffee & tea making facilities. Guests of the suites have automatically access to The Regency Club Lounge, a private lounge providing concierge services, breakfast, evening cocktails and hors d`oeuvres. The suites come with a living and dining area.
Hotel Bali Hyatt has several dining options to choose from, such as Omang-Omang, offering all-day dining with Indonesian and international cuisine, as well as char-grilled fresh seafood and meat, and Pizzaria, serving Italian favorites and pizza right by the beach. Both restaurants offer private, air-conditioned dining rooms. Having a pizza and a nice glass of wine in the late afternoon or evening is highly recommended. Just splendid views across the sandy beach.
In addition, there is the Piano Bar in the lobby area, an open-air bar overlooking lush tropical gardens and tranquil ponds. It`s the ideal choice for a refreshing drink or for evening cocktails with snacks and live music.
Other facilities at the Bali Hyatt in Sanur are two swimming pools with a children`s pool, gym, business center, meeting and conference rooms, as well as wedding arrangements.
Families will like Camp Hyatt, the children’s activity center (to re-open mid 2019), whilst adults may pamper themselves in the Shanka Spa, designed in the style of a typical Balinese village with several free-standing villas and open-air pavilions, as well as another swimming pool. Free wireless internet connection is available throughout this luxury beach resort in Sanur.
